Palpation Workshops

palp1Palpation is at the heart of assessment for massage therapists, physical therapists, chiropractors, and all other bodyworkers. The fundamental basis of palpation is being able to first specifically locate the target muscles and bones/bony landmarks. Once located, the health of the target structures can now be accurately assessed, allowing for competent and effective treatment!

palp2Joe Muscolino will teach you how to accurately and specifically locate the muscles and bones and bony landmarks of the human body.

Instead of teaching rote palpation routines that need to be memorized, Dr. Muscolino teaches by explaining the foundational concepts of muscle palpation and then applying these concepts to specific muscles of the body. The emphasis is always on understanding instead of memorization!

This is a hands-on workshop that can vary from three hours to two days in length, with a maximum of 14 participants admitted so that personal attention and supervision can be given to everyone.

palp3Contact hours of continuing education through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) are given to massage therapists and bodyworkers.

Note: If you have a group and you would like to have a palpation workshop done specifically for your group, workshops of different lengths and focuses can be created to meet the needs of your group. Please click the “Contact” button above and leave an email regarding what you would like.
