    The anterior deltoid is stretched with horizontal extension of the arm at the shoulder (glenohumeral) joint.

     

    Notes:

    • This stretch is usually performed by leaning in against the frame of a door.
    • The same-side foot is forward and the client leans in with body weight onto the forward foot.
    • This stretching protocol will also stretch the sternocostal head of pectoralis major.
