The flexor digitorum longus is stretched with dorsiflexion of the foot at the ankle joint and eversion of the foot at the subtalar joint.

    Notes:

    • Flexor digitorum longus is known as “Dick” of the “Tom, Dick, and Harry” group.
    • The knee joint can be flexed by placing a small bolster or foam roller under it. This decreases the chance that the gastrocnemius will limit the stretch.
