The Levator Palpebrae Superioris is a muscle of facial expression of the eye. The muscles of facial expression of the eye are:
- Orbicularis Oculi
- Levator Palpebrae Superioris
- Corrugator Supercilii
ATTACHMENTS:
- Sphenoid bone to the upper eyelid.
ACTIONS:
- Elevates the upper eyelid.
NOTE: The levator palpebrae superioris begins (attaches/originates) deep in the orbital socket.
