    The adductor magnus (of the adductor group) is stretched with abduction and flexion of the thigh at the hip joint.

     

    The adductor group is composed of the:

    • pectineus
    • adductor longus
    • gracilis
    • adductor brevis
    • adductor magnus

     

    Note: The adductor magnus is sometimes referred to as the “4th hamstring”.

     

    The adductor magnus (of the adductor group) is stretched with abduction and flexion of the thigh at the hip joint.
