    The adductor pollicis (of the central compartment group) is stretched with abduction and extension of the thumb at the metacarpophalangeal joint.

     

    The central compartment is composed of the:

    • adductor pollicis
    • lumbricals manus
    • palmar interossei
    • dorsal interossei manus
