    The teres major is stretched with flexion, lateral rotation, and adduction in front of the body, of the arm at the shoulder (glenohumeral) joint.

     

    Note: The joint actions at the shoulder/glenohumeral joint for the teres major and latissimus dorsi are identical, so the stretch protocol across the shoulder/glenohumeral joint is identical for these two muscles.
