The Rectus Capitis Anterior and Rectus Capitis Lateralis are members of the Prevertebral Group.
ATTACHMENTS:
- The rectus capitis anterior and rectus capitis lateralis attach from the transverse process of the atlas (C1) to the occiput.
ACTIONS:
- The rectus capitis anterior flexes the head at the atlanto-occipital joint.
- The rectus capitis lateralis laterally flexes the head at the atlanto-occipital joint.
